Good Carols Gone Bad

This year when we went caroling we sang one song that was predictable (Angels We Have Heard on High, everywhere we went) and one that was unusual—Feliz Navidad.  We thought it gave our caroling group a certain, shall we say, spiciness.  Or nuttiness, anyway.

There was an unexpected side effect of singing Feliz Navidad so many times in one evening.  It really stuck with me.  Later, as we were playing games, the song was rolling through my brain.  Morphing through my brain, really.  I sat playing the game, singing under my breath…

Police got my job…

The fleas ate my dad…

Elise ate my dog…

The fleas got my dog…

Police on a log…

What can I say, except that that song’s never going to be the same again!
