How could I have known what a delight it would be to see blue sky.
It’s only been 3 weeks of mostly grey weather in our first Oregon winter, and we’re told that the beautiful weather lasted extra long and that the grey weather has been unusually warm so far. That may be true, but when I saw the sun was out the other day and the blue sky all around, it was a thrill. It was enough to get me outside standing in the sun, looking at the beauty around me.
Carpe solis!
PS—the moss growth appears to have started.
PPS—that fabulous tree in the first picture has a bazillion tiny leaves that have been falling for weeks, with another bazillion still to fall. They are everywhere; driveway, cars, sidewalks, pond, entry way, carpet, everywhere.
I just have to remind myself to enjoy this moment, cause when they all fall it’ll just be moss everywhere…
