What YOU Can Do About It
Wow--I didn't expect such an impassioned response to my rant from this morning, but I like it!
If you want to know what you can do to make your voice heard, there are two easy ways to be an armchair activist.
I've signed up to get emails from two different websites that alert me to when my action can make a difference. They make it very easy, providing forms to email the appropriate people and companies. Occasionally they ask for a donation and I rarely donate. But I do appreciate their vigilance.
The first one is ParentsTV.org. This is the website that sent the email this morning.
The other site is OneMillionMoms and it's counterpart OneMillionDads.
These organizations have had some success in getting sponsors to pull their advertising from objectionable shows, and without advertising, shows have a harder time continuing.
So--if you want to make a difference, here's your chance!

I have been thinking about this a lot. As disgusting as Ryan Murphy's quote was, I wish I knew every writer's motives as clearly as I know his. It would be much easier to decide whether I want to watch a show or not!
