I'm Thinking About:

February 24th

We may on occasion find ourselves in uncomfortable situations where we differ in doctrine with our acquaintances, friends, and family members. But the doctrine can never be used to justify treating others with anything less than respect and dignity. We can stand firm in our beliefs and have a loving relationship with those who hold differing opinions. It is never an either-or choice. We love and live our doctrine, and we love those who do not live it. We need not create false dichotomies. The late Elder Marvin J. Ashton shared this insight from an inspired leader: “The best and most clear indicator that we are progressing spiritually and coming unto Christ is the way we treat other people.

Bring It On!

Last year you may remember that I blogged here about turning the thermostat down in our house during the winter to try to save money, and the misery of climbing into a freezing cold bed at night.

Not being one to dwell on unpleasant memories, I promptly forgot about the cold bed once things warmed up in the spring.

Last week when we had a string of cold nights I remembered again.

Brrrrr!

Thank goodness for Kohls & their sales.

They have those? I'm sure it's much more efficient to heat the beds than it is to heat a whole "mansion", as my children think of your house:).

Megan--I would have thought having the heat go off would be incentive for going to bed--but no! Hopefully this will help me be happier to get in bed.

Katie--I'll be laughing all day. I need to bring your boys jackets back from their afternoon at the "mansion." LOL!
