My little brother actually truly got boxes for Christmas one year. Lots and lots of boxes, packed inside one another. You have never seen a kid so happy.
We have one child who never ever did play with a toy. I always hoped that I'd find one that he would love, but nope. So then we started giving him tape for Christmas and birthdays. He was happy with that for many years. And then he became a teenager... ;)
