All three of the little kids had declared months ago that they were making their own houses this year, so Russ was sure his job as #1 gingerbread helper was over. He soon found out that both of the girls needed structural help with their houses.

Josh didn't get his house finished before he left for the dance. I'm curious to find out what it is, and it seems an upgrade from last year's ammo depot.

Complete with horses in the stalls and peeps Snowmen riding horses in the yard.

Jenna also made a stable,

with some kind of unidentified livestock in the side yard.

Jared made the mines of Moria, and filled the mine with candy. (Smart child!)

After cousin Cali made her own house with Jason's help, she came over the help Cindy Lynn. Cali has never met a stranger, and she's enjoyed hanging out with her cousins.
With a 'princess' in the tower!
Mahon was pleased with his final creation.

Yours is your house- and is that the old Pizza place on Guess road with the geodesic dome that Mahon made? Now delete this so that you don't get robbed!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking yours looked like a Thomas Kincade house and wondering if Mahon's was Uncle Bilbo's house. =) What a fun tradition!!
ReplyDeleteWe used to make gingerbread houses {my mom made the gingerbread house pieces and the frosting; we just decorated =)}, and it was one of my favorite December activities. If I ever start this tradition with my kids, it will be graham crackers -- easier and yummier. =)
p.s. thank you so much for your very kind reply to my earlier comment.
Looks like fun! Yours looks great...just like your house! :) Mahon's....hmmm....not a clue! The kids didn't use a lot of frosting...interesting! We did this with the kids at the cabin...it was lots of fun...Caitlyn did like Jared...totally filled the inside of her house with candy!
